Riverside - Close cleans up its act
14 April 2010
Tenants and residents from Calverley Close in Bromley helped social landlord Riverside clean up their neighbourhood.
Bromley Council donated litter picks and high visability vests, while Riverside enlisted the help of their grounds maintenance contractor Mitie and Morrison repairs professionals in the clean up.
The community clean up was organised to help raise community spirit while highlighting the issues of fly tipping and graffiti to help keep neighbourhoods free from litter. | |
Riverside’s community initiatives officer Wendy Mason said: “We are committed to working with our communities to improve neighbourhoods. Clean-up days help to encourage young and old to respect their environment and foster pride in their surroundings.”
Neighbourhood children who took part were rewarded with a goody bag to add a further incentive to cleaning up the Close.
