Riverside - NEW TELEPHONE INFORMATION
From 1 April Riverside will be giving customers a choice between the existing 0845 number and a new 0345 number.
Ofcom has introduced new UK wide 03 telephone numbers to increase certainty, trust and confidence in the numbers that consumers use to call public services, voluntary organisations and companies that require a national presence.
Riverside is proud to be one of the first UK organisations to offer one of these numbers to their customers and would like to remind all staff that 0345 111 0000 is not a premium rate number.

"The new 03 range is designed to provide consumer certainty and confidence to make calls. These benefits are delivered by the following provisions:
Service Providers will not be allowed to charge callers more for dialling a 03 number than their tariff for outbound calls to geographic 01/02 numbers. This applies to calls made from any fixed line, payphone or mobile.
Calls to 03 numbers must be included in any outbound call discount packages offered by the outbound call provider."
The 0845 number will still probably be cheaper for customers calling from a land line if they don’t have an inclusive call package. But if customers pay for inclusive calls or prefer to use a mobile phone then the 0345 number will work out best.
Here’s a quick guide to the new numbers:
• The new nationwide general needs numbers for all subsidiaries and divisions will be 0845 111 0000 and 0345 111 0000
The exceptions are:
• CHA (Carlisle Housing Association) will keep its free phone number with an alternative of 0345 155 9020
• ECHG will keep 0845 155 9002 with an alternative of 0345 155 9002
• RHO (Riverside Home Ownership) will have a new number of 0845 155 9029 with an alternative of 0345 155 9029
• The Estate Management Board (EMB) and Hawthorn Fields PFI will also have an 03 alternative to their current numbers.
