Riverside - Housing staff throw themselves into fundraising spirit
Bungee jumping, skydiving and mountain hiking are just a few challenges Riverside staff have faced to raised over £22,000 for charity in the last 12 months, smashing their target of £10,000.
The organisation raised nearly £8,000 alone for nominated charity WaterAid, which works in 26 countries providing water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the world's poorest people.
While staff from Riverside ECHG raised nearly £7,000 for a project van by doing a Himalayan trek, other charities Riverside has supported throughout the year include Breast Cancer Care, Haiti Earthquake Appeal, Sports Relief, Children in Need, Help for Heroes, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Alzheimers Society.
Director of Corporate Services Ronnie Clawson, who is Riverside’s lead director on Corporate Social Responsibility said: “I am delighted that we have raised more than twice our target.
“As one of the UK’s leading social housing and regeneration organisations, Corporate Social Responsibility is a natural extension of our traditional role yet it never fails to amaze me how generous our staff are, even despite the credit crunch.”
